Is the resume builder free?
Yes. It is free for technicians, and it always will be. You create an account so your resume is saved and you can come back and rebuild it whenever your experience changes. Shops pay to post jobs; techs never pay for anything.
What makes this different from a generic resume builder?
It knows the trade. A general resume template has nowhere to put EPA 608 Universal, NATE, CFESA, a backflow card, or the fact that you have run warranty calls on Sub-Zero and Speed Queen for nine years. Those are the exact things a service manager screens on, so they belong near the top, not buried under a skills cloud.
What do I need to have ready?
The shops you have worked for, roughly when you were there, and a few sentences about what you actually did at each one. Rough notes are fine — brands you serviced, call types, whether you ran your own truck. Your certifications and trades come from your profile, so you only enter those once.
Can I edit the resume after it is built?
